Acceptance of These Terms

By creating an account, browsing profiles or otherwise using WaitForDate, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to every provision below, you must not register for or use the service. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated here by reference, form a binding legal agreement between you and WaitForDate.

We may revise these Terms from time to time as described in the "Changes to Terms" section below. Your continued use of WaitForDate after a revised version is posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you are using WaitForDate on behalf of yourself as an individual adult, you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

Eligibility and 18+ Age Requirement

Dating platforms across the industry have moved toward stricter identity and age checks in response to safety regulations and user demand for verified, adults-only communities. In keeping with that standard, WaitForDate reserves the right to request additional age or identity verification - such as a photo or document check - at any time, and to suspend or restrict access pending that verification. Accounts found to belong to a user under 18, or accounts that cannot satisfy a verification request within a reasonable period, will be terminated immediately and the associated data removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Misrepresenting your age to access WaitForDate is a violation of these Terms and may be reported where required by law.

Account Registration and User Responsibilities

Creating a WaitForDate account comes with a set of responsibilities that keep the community trustworthy for everyone. You agree to the following:

• Accurate information: Provide truthful, current details during sign-up and keep your profile information up to date.
• One account per person: Maintain a single active account. Duplicate, secondary or "backup" accounts are not permitted.
• Credential security: Keep your password and login credentials confidential and do not share your account with anyone else.
• Responsibility for activity: You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, whether or not you personally authorized it.
• Prompt notice: Notify us as soon as possible if you suspect unauthorized access to or use of your account.
• Lawful use: Use WaitForDate only for its intended purpose of meeting other adults for dating and companionship, and only in ways permitted by applicable law.

WaitForDate may decline to register an account, or may suspend an existing account, if any of the information provided is found to be false, misleading or incomplete.

Acceptable Use and Prohibited Conduct

A respectful, authentic community is the foundation of a dating platform people can trust. The following conduct is strictly prohibited on WaitForDate:

• Harassment or abuse

  Threatening, abusive, hateful or discriminatory messages or behavior directed at any member.

• Fake or impersonating profiles

  Creating a profile using someone else’s photos or identity, or misrepresenting who you are.

• Automation and scraping

  Using bots, scripts or automated tools to create accounts, message members or extract profile data.

• Commercial solicitation

  Advertising products, services, other websites or content-creator accounts through messages or profiles.

• Explicit or illegal content

  Posting sexually explicit images, nudity or content that violates any applicable law.

• Requests for money

  Soliciting money, gift cards, cryptocurrency or financial information from any member, directly or indirectly.

• Sharing others’ private information

  Publishing another member’s phone number, address, workplace or other identifying details without consent.

Violating any of the above may result in content removal, warning, suspension or permanent termination of your account, at WaitForDate's sole discretion and without prior notice where the conduct poses a safety risk.

User Content and Photo Guidelines

Any photo, message, bio text or other material you upload to WaitForDate ("User Content") remains your property. By submitting User Content, you grant WaitForDate a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display and transmit that content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the service - for example, showing your profile to prospective matches. This license ends when you delete the content or close your account, except where retention is required for legal, safety or dispute-resolution purposes.

Profile photos must meet the following standards: images must be clear and recent, must depict you (not a celebrity, cartoon, group photo as your primary image, or stock photo), must not contain nudity or sexually explicit material, and must not include other identifiable people who have not consented to appear. WaitForDate may review, decline or remove any photo or content that violates these guidelines or these Terms, and may do so without prior notice.

Dating Safety Guidance

No online platform, including WaitForDate, can guarantee the identity, intentions or conduct of another user - safety online and in person ultimately depends on the precautions you take. Is online dating safe? It can be, provided you treat early conversations with the same caution you would use meeting any new person, and follow a basic safety checklist before and during a first meeting.

• Video chat first

  Have a video call with a match before agreeing to meet in person, to help confirm they are who their profile says.

• Meet in a public place

  Choose a busy, public location for a first date rather than a private residence.

• Arrange your own transport

  Drive yourself or arrange your own ride to and from the date rather than relying on your match.

• Tell a friend

  Share who you are meeting, where, and when you expect to be back, with someone you trust.

• Never send money

  Never send money, gift cards or financial details to anyone you meet on WaitForDate, no matter the story.

• Report suspicious behavior

  Block and report any member who asks for money, pressures you, or otherwise makes you uncomfortable.

Following this guidance does not eliminate risk entirely, but it substantially reduces it and is consistent with safety practices recommended across the online dating industry.

Termination, Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

Suspension and Termination

WaitForDate may suspend or terminate your account, with or without prior notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in conduct that harms other members, or created risk or legal exposure for WaitForDate. You may close your account at any time; instructions for doing so and for requesting deletion of your data are described in our Privacy Policy.

Disclaimer of Warranties

WaitForDate is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that you will find a match, that any profile is accurate, that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any particular outcome will result from your use of WaitForDate. You use the service, and interact with other members, entirely at your own discretion and risk.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, WaitForDate and its officers, employees and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the service, including your interactions with other members, whether online or in person. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or the service will not exceed the amount you paid to WaitForDate, if any, in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Dispute Resolution, Governing Law and Indemnification

If a dispute arises between you and WaitForDate, we encourage you to first contact us at the address below so we can attempt to resolve the matter informally. If informal resolution is unsuccessful, you and WaitForDate agree that any dispute will be resolved through binding, individual arbitration rather than in court, and you waive any right to participate in a class or representative action, except where such a waiver is not permitted by applicable law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree to indemnify and hold WaitForDate harmless from any claims, damages or expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the service.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. We may update these Terms from time to time; material changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date, and continued use of WaitForDate after such changes constitutes acceptance.
